Two Best Friends Memories Are At Stake In Forgotten Island Trailer

Dreamworks’ new animated film Forgotten Island centers around a friendship worth fighting for.

Soundtracked by Simple Minds’ “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” the trailer shows a montage of BFFs Jo (H.E.R) and Raissa (Liza Soberano), They’ve been besties since childhood, doing everything together, but, as they approach their high school graduation, they prepare to head down separate life paths.

On their final night together, as they talk about their futures, a mysterious portal opens up and drags them into the fantasy island world of Nakali. Filled with both colorful and terrifying Filipino mythological creatures, the duo must face The Dreaded Manananggal (Lea Salonga) and figure out how to escape before their memories of each other are completely forgotten.

Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and Ronny Chieng round out the cast.

Forgotten Island premieres September 25 in theaters.
