Janel Parrish Is Manifesting Her Broadway Comeback

Before To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Pretty Little Liars, or even Bratz, there was a little girl in Hawaii with Broadway dreams.

Back in 1996, Janel Parrish brought young Cosette to life on Broadway in Les Misérables. From there, she balanced her on screen roles with stage performances in To Kill A Mockingbird, Spring Awakening, A Walk To Remember: The Musical, Grease, The Last Five Years, and Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical. “I always love heading back to the stage whenever I can. I would love to manifest that. Let's manifest Broadway. I would love to do that,” she told me while promoting her new Hallmark Channel movie Two For Tee. “I would love to do a movie where I get to sing as well.”

Her most recent musical endeavor was producing and performing in her own solo show at the Blue Note in Hawaii. “That was just a dream. I had so much fun,” Parrish shared. “So let's do it. Let's manifest more singing.”

When it comes to dram roles, the list is long. “Oh my god, I would love to do Chicago. I would love to do Roxie in Chicago because I love to dance as well as sing. I would love to do Hadestown. I could we could talk about this all day, girl,” laughed Parrish. “I'm just a theater nerd at heart, you know? I started out on Broadway when I was six. It's still my favorite thing in the world.”

Putting it out into the universe that we need Janel Parrish back on Broadway, stat!
