Joseph Zada, Elle Fanning, and Ralph Fiennes Lead Epic The Hunger Games: Sunrise on The Reaping Trailer

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is about to be a major event!

Set 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, the film takes audiences back to the Second Quarter Quell that puts fan favorite Haymitch Abernathy at the center of the story.

“The arena… it’s a killing machine, but all machines can be broken,” Wiress teases. Visually, the trailer learns into a ‘70s aesthetic, contrasting that retro style with an epic battle in the Games. Sunrise of the Reaping lays the groundwork for the future rebellion, while also hinting at a surprising commonality between Haymitch and President Snow.

The trailer also offers a first look at the stacked cast that brings younger versions of these beloved characters to life. Joseph Zada has big shoes to fill as he steps into the role of Haymitch, originated by Woody Harrelson. He’s joined by Whitney Peak, as Lenore Dove, Mckenna Grace as Maysilee Donner, Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Beetee Latier, Lili Taylor as Mags Flanagan, Maya Hawke as Wiress, and Ralph Fiennes as President Coriolanus Snow. The casting is absolutely top notch with each actor fitting seamlessly into this world.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping hits theaters and IMAX on November 20.
