Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen!
Major Cheetalicious news has just dropped: A new Cheetah Girls movie is happening!
There’s been rumors about a fourth movie going around for a few weeks and now it’s finally been confirm. The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen has been greenlit by Disney Channel with OG stars Raven-Symone and Adrienne Bailon returning to play our favorite besties Galleria and Chanel.
The new film follows Galleria and Chanel as they travel to Africa to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary with Galleria’s daughter and her three friends. Along the way, the four teens’ friendship is test and they find their voices as they discover their true Cheetah spirit. Together they save a preserve and take the stage as the new Cheetah Girls. The new film will begin production in South Africa later this month, with Raven sharing a first look from the set on Instagram.
Let’s meet our new Cheetahs! Leah Sava Jeffries, best known as Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, has been cast as Galleria’s daughter Faith, while Electric Bloom’s Carmen Sanchez plays Chanel’s little sister Dior. The quartet is rounded out by I Woke Up A Vampire’s Kaileen Chang as Ruby and Sophie Lennon as Brooklyn. Newcomer Kamogelo Ramashala will play Kendi and Sophia Bush also joins the cast as Jennifré.
Sabrina Bryan will make a special appearance as Dorinda, while Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter will reprise their roles as Mama Cheetahs Dorothea and Juanita. Kiely Williams is not attached to the film right now.
This is yet another Disney Channel IP brought back for a new generation, like Camp Rock, High School Musical, and Descendants, although it’s arguably the one I’m most excited for! As someone who grew up watching the movies, going to their concerts, and even dressing up as them for Halloween, I will watch anything Cheetah Girls.
Are you ready for more growl power? Watch all three The Cheetah Girls movies on Disney+ as we await their latest musical adventure in South Africa.
