Jason Voorhees’ Origin Story Gets A Bloody Twist in Crystal Lake Trailer

The iconic Friday The 13th franchise is going back to its roots in prequel series Crystal Lake. 

The trailer depicts single mother Pam Voorhees (Linda Cardellini) working at Crystal Lake during the summer of 1971. What was meant to be an idyllic, fun summer camp soon turns traumatic when her son Jason Voorhees (Callum Vinson) drowns in the town lake. 

Unable to move past the incident, Pam becomes obsessed with finding her son and figuring out what really happened. As police get involved and more dead bodies show up, they become more curious into Pam’s life. From bloody swinging axes to a mother’s rage, it all comes down to who is Pam Voorhees? 

William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, Gwendolyn Sundstrom, Nick Cordileone, Joy Suprano, Danielle Kotch, and Phoenix Parnevik round out the cast. 

Crystal Lake premieres October 15 on Peacock.
