Lacey Chabert Is Ready For A Wild Thornberries Revival: “I’d Do It In A Heartbeat”

As Hollywood continues revisiting beloved childhood favorites, Lacey Chabert is more than ready to return to one of her own.

In a conversation with Pop Culture Planet for her Hallmark+ limited series Paris Is Always A Good Idea, Chabert didn’t hesitate when asked if she’d ever consider reprising her role in The Wild Thornberries. “I would do it in a heartbeat,” she told me.

The beloved animated series premiered on Nickelodeon in 1998. It followed 12-year-old Eliza Thornberry, voiced by Chabert, who is given the incredible gift of being able to talk to animals. Looking back, she called the show “such a special” part of her career. “Oh gosh, I would love nothing more [than] for them to reboot The Wild Thornberries,” she said. “We did many episodes. We did two movies. It was such a special show and I would love nothing more than for it to come back.”

The actress even reflected on growing up alongside the character, revealing she was filming both The Wild Thornberries and Lost In Space at the same time. “I started it when I was 13 and that was my real voice at the time,” she recalled. “Then I grew and matured and I started having to put on a voice to be Eliza.”
