Dan Jeannotte Reflects On Joining The Way Home For Its Final Season
Get ready for a trip into the roaring ‘20s when The Way Home returns! While Alice prepares for graduation and the Landry family navigates their future, Kat finds herself exploring one more mystery in 1925. During a virtual interview for A Royal Setting, Pop Culture Planet’s Kristen Maldonado spoke with Hallmark fan favorite Dan Jeannotte about joining the cast of The Way Home for its fourth and final season.
Jeannotte is no stranger to Hallmark’s magical series of, having starred in the long-running Good Witch. Now, he steps into 1925 as Port Haven’s new temperance inspector Cliff Kane. “The show is a family drama mystery time travel show. They've gone to different time periods in their three seasons,” Jeannotte explained. “And in this fourth season, there's a big chunk of the story that's set in the 1920s. I play a temperance inspector, so like a prohibition cop in the ‘20s.”
What stood out to him most was the atmosphere on set. “It was really fun to do. Not just because of the costume and the era, which was great, but also it was a wonderfully warm set,” he shared. “When you come into a show that's been up and running for a while, you don't know what it'll be like to come in. Everybody's dynamic is established and everything, but this was one of the friendliest sets that I've been on. It was so lovely. Everybody was so welcoming.”
So what’s in store for this season? “All I can say is that my character is intertwined somehow with the Landry family, but I can't really say how,” Jeannotte teased. “But I got the chance to do some really lovely work. It's romantic, it's exciting, it's dangerous. I'm super excited to see it.”
Jeannotte stars in A Royal Setting airing tonight on Hallmark Channel, while the final season of The Way Home debuts on April 19.
