Wicked: For Good Trailer Hinges On The Choices Glinda and Elphaba Have Made
The global musical phenomenal of Wicked returns for an electrifying conclusion after a months long intermission in Wicked: For Good.
In the highly anticipated trailer, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) is hiding in exile as she fights for what’s right and tries to expose the truth about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) despite being demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West. Meawhile, Glinda (Ariana Grande) embraces her popularity and fame as a symbol for all that is Good, but is being used as a pawn by both The Wizard and Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh). There’s teases of Glinda’s glamorous Ozian wedding to Prince Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) and hints at shocking transformations as a young girl from Kansas crash lands in Oz.

It all hinges on the choices Glinda and Elphaba make and the bond between them. The stakes are sky(bird) high and we even get a tease of a new original song for Elphaba, as well as “No Good Deed” and “For Good.” Yup, those haunting riffs at the beginning of the trailer are a look at one of two new original songs — one for Glinda and one for Elphaba — written by Stephen Schwartz, the composer of the original Broadway musical!
The trailer for Wicked: For Good released online at the same time as it played in theaters during special one day only screenings of Wicked that were full of giveaways and commemorative posters.
