Based on the popular Emily Henry book, the Netflix film finds unlikely best friends Poppy and Alex spending every summer vacation together. But their friendship is put to the test when they start to question what everyone else has already known… what if they’re a perfect match?
The trailer taps into the magic of vacations where you can be whoever you want to be. Routine-following Alex would never skinny dip, but maybe Vacation Alex would. He breaks out epic dance moves and even attempts to go in for the big kiss. It makes the free-spirited Poppy confused as she questions if they should ruin the friendship to be something more.
I’ve been following Emily Bader since her Charmed days and are so excited she’s blown up as an actress. With leading roles in My Lady Jane and Fresh Kills, I can’t wait to see her tackle this sweet rom-com, especially opposite The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes stand out Tom Blyth. The stacked cast also includes Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Miles Heizer, Jameela Jamil, Tommy Do, Lukas Gage, Alice Lee, Molly Shannon, and Alan Ruck.
