Michael Jackson’s Nephew Jaafar Jackson Embodies The King Of Pop In Michael Biopic Teaser

Led by the King of Pop’s own nephew Jaafar Jackson, we’ve finally got a first look at the highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic Michael!

Michael explores the life and legacy of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known. The teaser kicks off with Michael in the recording studio with Quincy Jones (Kendrick Sampson) laying down vocals for “Wanna Be Startin’ Something’” as it flashes between his past in the Jackson 5 and his future as the King of Pop. There’s even teases of “Human Name,” “Billie Jean,” and “Thriller.” It’s a full of high energy spectacle, with Jaafar showcasing an impressive similarity to his uncle in both his moves and voice.

From director Antoine Fuqua, the cast includes Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, Kat Graham, Larenz Tate, and Derek Luke. While biopics have been hit or miss lately, Michael promises to be one not to skip.

Despite several release date delays, Michael is set to hit theaters and IMAX on April 24, 2026.
