The First Ray Gunn Trailer Takes Us To A Wild Future!

From the visionary behind The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and The Iron Giant comes Ray Gunn. After a nearly 30-year quest to bring this futuristic mystery to life, Academy Award-winning director Brad Bird has finally found a home for the long-awaited film at Netflix.

The trailer introduces us to Metropia, an alternate-future city where the last human private eye Raymond Gunn is pulled into a case involving aliens, murder, and a superstar named Venus Nova. The world of Ray Gunn blends old-school detective noir with a futuristic twist, pairing vintage cars and diners with jet packs and aliens.

Sam Rockwell voices Ray Gunn, alongside Tom Waits as his alien sidekick and Scarlett Johansson as the silverscreen vixen Venus Nova. The impressive voice cast also includes Alan Tudyk, Matt Berry, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Chernus, Kether Donohue, Michelle Rodriguez, Aasif Mandvi, Matt Jones, Kathryn Hunter, John Ratzenberger, Justin Peck, and Patton Oswalt.

Ray Gunn will hit select theaters with a limited 70mm run beginning December 4 before ariving on Netflix on December 18.
