Imagine Step Up but make it Bollywood with Netflix’s new film Best Of The Best! 

The trailer shows childhood besties Maya (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and Anjali (Priyanka Kedia) arriving at UCLA and signing up for their competitive Bollywood dance team. They’re greeted into the subcategories of dancers on the team from the “baddies” to that lone white guy Harry. 

Carrying a legacy on their shoulders, they must flawlessly execute their dances while on the road to the U.S. championship. Trouble arises when a competing group spawns and Maya wants to go rogue by urging the team to attempt to stand out. From hair mishaps to budding romances, it’s going to be a rollercoaster of a ride to end up on top. 

Ankur Rathee, Janina Gavankar, Chaneil Kular, Becky Alex, Shreya Navile, Hasan Minhaj, Nihar Duvvuri, Nico Greetham, Amryn Khurana, Tanishq Joshi, Lilly Singh, Saara Chaudry, Sasha Bhasin, and Kavi Ramachandran round out the cast. 

Best Of The Best premieres September 18 on Netflix.
